for locating a picture of the one chinese man in spain. sadly, it was his idea to run the add.
heard a good tenor man by the name of wayne taller. i'd burn you one of his discs, but i can't reach it.
the joe henderson station logically went to shorter next, but then it played a tune by kenny door ham. i know he was the uncrowned king, our trumpeter, but still.
a headline in the local paper today was "russia; leave georgia or face the consequences." i am so proud to live in a country where the media is free to criticize the actions of other nations. kind of chokes you up, doesn't it?
it was cool hearing about the caspian sea again though, wasn't it? yeah, it's an old standard, "somewhere beyond the caspian sea." yes, that does go back to the grand old days of bill clit-tin. basically they want to cop the resources of the region without having to deal with russia at all. crazy.
passion dance was a bitch. in fact, it was the real mccoy, and it was not played by an ordinary joe. in fact ron, i have a jones to play it right now, but perhaps it is off bass to drum up support for an album in the middle of a blog.
i like mickey z. y? because he is a g straight out of generation x, and he speaks to john q public.
i hope to live to see the day when the phrase "milosevic lives" becomes known to all. once, i was going to paint his portrait, but he went on a tie rant and missed the shoot, hence the classic book "portrait of a tie rant." now that i think of it, i can't remember if milosevic was a left wing populist or a bourgeouis nationalist.
when in doubt, you can always play blue bossa.
in a poll of what americans fear the most, public speaking came in first. death was second.
third? reading the rantings of mellish on an empty stomach.
some wars you don't hear much about, but that have been going on for a while...
the war on water
the war on air
the war on sanity
the war on peace
the war on food
my solution? let's pull our troops out of iraq, and let's invade high fructose corn syrup.
in conclusion, i would like to bring up a rather interesting point that i believe calls for further investigation. bernic mac and isaac hayes, both recently deceased, starred in a movie together that will come out in november. ok, that's weird enough, but dig the title....
soul men.
they sure are. now, somebody knew something we didn't. i, for one, call for an immediate investigation into the director, the producer, the camera men, the extras, and every other bum involved with production. to me, if two men die shortly after making a movie called soul men, then none of us are safe.
none of us.

I agree, maybe it was something they ate together on the set. Food is often overlooked when it comes to health. They were both so young too. Crazy!
