in the media, they tell us that civilian casualities are turning the afghan people against the war. yes, but why aren't they turning the american people against the war? what does this tell us about the american people? furthermore, the american media isn't particularly bothered that we are killing thousands of afghans. rather, they are bothered that our killing of afghans is making them hate the war. so, what does this tell us about the american media?

in short, no one cares about the afghans except the afghans, and they are helpless to stop the killing. for our part, we insist on bombing them, and then blaming the taliban for those butchered by our bombs. for only our military is allowed to kill 130 people at a time. if some guy on the street kills one person, he is arrested and thrown in jail for life, but when our government kills hundreds, they speak of their opponents using civilians as human shields, and tell us that they regret the loss of life. well, if i ever commit a crime, that's going to be my defense..."well, i regret any loss of life, but i'm more about looking forward than living in the past." remember the whole looking forward thing? if it works for obama not wanting to try torturers, why can't it work for a criminal at a defense trial?

we have an entire system that is complicit in murder. both parties, and the corporations that control and corrupt them, are to blame. changing the prick in power won't alter reality. bush and obama, as well as their cronies, are guilty for what they have done to the people of afghanistan. in a just world, they would be arrested and thrown in jail. for you see, a just world wouldn't just be concerned with looking forward, but would also want to prosecute the criminals of the past and present. and obama, as president of a country that is prosecuting a war that just killed 130 afghan civilians, qualifies for the dock.
